Tiffani:
I have to say that I've read my fair share of books in my life time but this one is a first! Laura definitely has the gift of story telling with the way she describes everything. She really makes you feel like you were witnessing every word first hand.
Ever wonder what it would be like for a teenager to come to terms with the fact that she's a witch when every fiber of her being doesn't want to accept it? Destiny brings you to that place with that teenager. It takes you over the journey that she goes through in having to learn to accept what and who she is and the struggles that come with that. As the story is woven, you come to love the characters of Gabby, Darron, and their friends. The book keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting more from the first paragraph through the very end.
I am so glad that I found Laura, she's one of my favorite authors now!
Stephie:
I am a book junkie, and reading this book started out no different. Laura is a friend on Facebook, and I had offered to read anything she had basically! LOL
Where to start on how GREAT this book is! From page one, I couldn't put it down. It captivated me and transported me straight into the heart of Gabby's world. Being a teenager is difficult enough, try finding out how to deal when your whole life is turned upside down by finding out your true identity!
Laura's writing is spellbinding to say the least. The ease with which she uses to portray her characters is nothing short of amazing. Easy to read, hard to put down, this book really left me wanting so much more!
It's easy to read a book that's mediocre, it's a blessing to read a book that's as amazingly written as this! I will definitely keep Laura on my list of favorites in the author category, and hope that you do the same!
Below are the links to the Kindle format on Amazon, and her fan page on FaceBook! I encourage all who read this to search her out, you won't be sorry!!!!

Far Away lands.
In an alternate plane, a land of myth, there lives and thrives creatures of old.
Where unicorns play, and mermaids splash, and leprechauns hide their gold.
Come play with us, as our minds take us away
A short time only are we allowed to play.
Close your eyes, and imagine the meadow, beautifully laced in flowers,
See the land through innocent eyes, and where witches have real powers.
Powers spread the joy and love, and harm not even one.
Their only rule is that when you leave, you leave no damage done.
Drift away inside your mind, and feel the warmest breeze,
The beauty you will come to, will bring you to your knees.
The mother is the Earth, and her children all that are on it
And when the moon shines bright and high, everything is lit.
Follow your heart, and let it guide you, it never lets you stray.
Open your mind and reach up your arms, and feel them start to sway.
You'll dance with fairies, and pixies, their wings will touch your soul
When the dance is done, they'll leave you, frolicking around the knoll.
When your reverie is over, and your eyes are open wide
You'll start to notice little things that will trigger the other side.
Not all is lost on this plane, there are many creatures here,
Remembering with an open mind will always keep them near.

Ramblings
I wish I understood life and it's reasons. LOL Doesn't everybody? I"m pretty sure you don't have to be a Christian to be a good person! How many people actually know what a Pagan is? I'd say mainly only the ones that are. It's not so much a religion to me as it is being thankful for what you have, blessing the Earth for it's gifts, and giving back!
Pagan is such a loose term for everything that encompasses it. For me, as example, I was raised Baptist, and yet, while I hold true to a lot of my Christian upbringing, I now hold true many many more things. Like reincarnation, and spells and incantations (which are nothing more than prayers, and blessings), and many many more.
When I mow my yard I thank the grass for growing enough to allow me to trim it. As silly as it is, the nicer you talk to your plants, grass, etc. the better they'll grow.
I have this amazing opportunity with The Sisters Elemental, to grow and learn and be a part of a society that has a terrible name. When it's not terrible at all! I am thankful that God, Gods, Goddess, Divine, Gaia, etc. (whatever you want to call your Divine) that I have met some amazing friends who have helped me grow.
I am also drawn to keeping up with this blog more, as a way to connect more personally, of course through ramblings, with everyone out in the Pagan community. Right now I"m only talking to myself, as I have only two followers, but I hope that through this course and journey I will gain, and have many wise things to tell you.
Namaste.
